Returns and Refunds

We want you to be happy with what you buy from MHI Auto Spares. This policy explains how returns and refunds work at our branches. It does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
Defective goods
Under the CPA, if a product is defective, unsafe or not fit for the purpose it is normally used for, you may return it within six months of delivery or collection. You can choose a repair, a replacement or a refund. We may inspect the product first to confirm the defect, and the claim does not apply to damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear.
Changed your mind
Unused products in their original, undamaged packaging can be returned or exchanged at the branch where you bought them, at the branch's discretion. Please bring your invoice or till slip. Returns of this kind are usually accepted within a reasonable time of purchase; ask the branch about its time limit when you buy.
What cannot be returned
- Parts that have been fitted, installed or used, unless they are defective.
- Electrical parts (sensors, coils, bulbs, alternators, starters) once fitted, unless they are defective.
- Oils, fluids and chemicals that have been opened.
- Special orders brought in for you, unless they are defective.
Wrong or short deliveries
Please check your goods when you collect them or when they are delivered, and tell the branch straight away if anything is missing, damaged or not what you ordered. Note it on the delivery note before you sign.
Refunds
Approved refunds are paid using the same method you paid with, or as a credit note if you prefer. Card and EFT refunds can take a few working days to reflect, depending on your bank.
