MHI Auto Spares ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our branches, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible
MHI Auto Spares is the responsible party for the personal information described here. Our branches are in Rita (Maake) and Nkowankowa, near Tzaneen, Limpopo. You can contact us about privacy at Rtootla786@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Quote requests and messages: your name, company (optional), phone or WhatsApp number, email address (optional), the products on your quote list, quantities you add from the calculators, project details, delivery area if you give one, and any files you upload such as plans or bills of quantities.
- Your quote list: the parts you add, and the vehicle you save, are stored in your own browser (local storage) until you clear them. We do not see them until you send a request.
- Technical information: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
- To prepare and send the quote you asked for and to follow up on it.
- To answer your messages and arrange collection or delivery.
- To protect the website against spam and abuse.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Who sees it
Your request is sent to the MHI Auto Spares branch you chose and stored securely in our website's admin area. Uploaded files are kept in a private folder that cannot be opened from the internet. We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and email (such as our hosting provider), and when the law requires it.
Maps and WhatsApp
The branch map is loaded from Google Maps only when you press "Load the map". WhatsApp links and "Send on WhatsApp" buttons open WhatsApp, which is run by Meta under its own privacy policy; what you send there is handled by WhatsApp and by us as a normal chat.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any order that follows, and to meet our legal and tax record-keeping duties.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use for direct marketing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email Rtootla786@gmail.com with your request. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send banking details or ID documents through the website forms.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
